Just as they say that there is no rest for the weary, so I say that there is no sleep for the dreamer. The Bible tells us that “A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man.” [Proverbs 6:10-11 – ESV)
That’s how I feel about my dreams. Like if I sleep then I’m wasting time. Like if I’m not always on the go then I will be robbed of the chance to move forward and achieve greatness.
That really is how it is in life. You have got to have a sense of urgency or else life will pass you by. The casual “laissez-fair” attitude that most of us adopt is crippling. Worse still, It is actually suicidal to your dreams. It will literally cut off your circulation and slowly you will die and remain a walking corpse with nothing to offer this world.
You dreams, the ones you were born with, the ones that create a burning desire to change someone else’s situation and life, WILL NEVER BE ACHIEVED WHILE YOU ARE SLEEPING on the dream. You cannot expect anyone else to have a sense of urgency for the thing that God put in your heart.
Today being Day 2 of our #31daysofwoohoo challenge, I challenge you to:
- Get Up
- Get Going
- Keep Going
- Refuse to stop
You really can do this. I for 1 believe in you and so should you.
I believe in the power of your dreams.
