Earlier I wrote about being inspired and committed to publishing One (1) post a week as a sign of my commitment to this writing dream. The very next day I received a boost-and-a-half from someone who in the past couple of years has become known to my countenance as my Faith Warrior – Miss Jinna Mutune [http://www.facebook.com/jinna.mutune] challenges my faith walk every single time our paths cross. I thoroughly enjoy the adventures we go on and the treasures we find at the end of each rainbow-y drive! Our friendship has been a faith walk (and not always easy on the relationship) since we first met. Rarely do I meet a dreamer of this magnitude whose eyes light up the way hers do when she talks about faith or when she catches the vision.
So today, Imma take a moment to show you how I developed this cool FAITH SWAGGER!
According to the Urban Dictionary (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=swagger), my most favorite definition of the word SWAGGER is “poised, sassiness that can’t be touched. It may be in the walk or it may be in the talk, but there is no doubt it means you own the room and you have that natural charisma. Basically, one with swagger dominates at life” …
The very same source tells me that Faith is a“Noun. Belief not supported by evidence or reason, but assumption alone”
Which brings me to the meat of today’s publication.
Romans 10:17 tells me that Faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the word of Christ (Holy Bible, NIV). This then shows me that my message – be it my life’s message or my message for the season, This BEV MESSAGE … FOR MY FAITH ONLY – is found in the word of God. Through the word, the message will be revealed and in the word the message will be confirmed and by the word, the message will be made manifest.
HOWEVER, the longer I walk this walk, the more I have come to understand that the FUEL to the [faith] message is the [faith] walk. So I hear the word, it gives me the faith [message], then I take the faith [message] and fuel it with my faith [walk], all the while being careful to remember that
- I live by faith, not by sight (2nd Corinthians 5:17)
- Faith without works is dead (James 2:26)
- Christ is the AUTHOR and PERFECTER of my faith (Hebrews 12:2)
- Without Faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6)
Er go … … …
a) I Must fine-tune my faith organs and dull my sight-of-the-world eyes
b) I must begin the faith walk even when I am yet to catch the full vision. Remember our last post? Start working out and the dream body will follow – not the other way around.
c) Christ authored and perfected everything BEFORE I RECEIVED OR BELIEVED therefore as He said on the cross, It Is Finished! That’s a good thing! It’s like I have an insurance policy for my full-proof faith plan.
d) To access that faith, I must act in faith and faith alone and it will activate in the spirit, what has already been baked in heaven’s kitchen to be served to me here on earth.
So now to put it all together. As I walk this walk which has already been carved out by the He who both authored and perfected my faith, the real FAITH WALKER, I must always remember that it’s already been done. All I have to do is lean back, put a swing in my step, a smile on my face, do a little jig every now and then, walk by faith, not by sight, celebrate others along the way, always remember the vision and focus on the trophy, not the journey, and LIVE LIKE I’VE NEVER LIVED BEFORE! Simple right?
Yes – VERY SIMPLE. It may be a mouthful but this one thing I know – it’s worth it now and it’ll be even more worth it when that thing that begun as a whisper in the wind manifests in the flesh – you can touch it, smell it, wave in the air and display it from the mountain tops for all the world to see.
So when all is said and done, my faith swagger is simply my Belief not supported by evidence or reason, but assumption alone in a manner that has poised, sassiness that can’t be touched. It means I (BEV) own the room and I (BEV) have that natural charisma. Basically, I (BEV) with my swagger dominate at life” …”
What’s not to love about that?
